Our demo server has been updated with a new version of the ZeeBORN Maritime Management Solution including a beta version of our new Cashbook module. The Cashbook module has been activated for all demo accounts.

If you don’t have a demo account on our demo server, you can request one at our support team.

As soon as the Cashbook module has reached the release status, all existing customers will get the necessary licenses for the office system and for all sites for free. The actual availability of the module can be controlled in the user management module (just in case you haven’t planned to roll-out the new module to all your sites).

ZeeBORN has extended it’s offer for testing the available solutions with a new exciting feature. Test the system with your own data. Just contact our support team and it will arrange that your data will be transferred to our demo system. You will get an unlimited access to our server and you can check, how well the data have been converted and how the productivity increases, compared to your current system.

This new offer is available for the following ZeeBORN modules:

• Office Manager
• Planned Maintenance
• Crewing/Recruitment
• Document Management

The necessary data migration tools are available for most fleet management systems used today. In case your existing system is currently not supported by our data migration services, there might be still a good chance to get your data converted.

This services is provided at no charge. The demo system can be used for one month (further extension of trial period possible). The data migration for the demo system is limited to one site (ship) per demo account only.

With today’s upgrade of the ZeeBORN homepage you will now be able to enjoy all ZeeBORN news on your iPhone. Just open the URL zeeborn.net in your Safari web browser. Other phone models like Android based systems, newest Palm models and Windows Mobile phones using Opera web browser are also supported.

With the official launch today Windows 7 is now available worldwide to everybody who wants to use it.
If you plan to buy your new PCs with Windows 7 or just want to upgrade your existing machines to the newest operating system available from Microsoft, go on. ZeeBORN newest releases are already supporting Windows 7 from day one on.

And just in case you want to hear our opinion about Windows 7: Go, get it. Until now there have been many good reasons for still using Windows XP. But in terms of stability, security and speed Windows 7 brings now all the advantages compared to Windows XP that have been promised with the introduction of Windows Vista. We have already upgraded most of our PCs and laptops with Windows 7 – the ones that still run XP or Vista have been kept for compatibility tests only. Of course we will continue the support of XP and Vista as long as required.

As the huge number of new features and improvements would exceed the number of text lines a typical visitor would read, we have extended the number of available demo accounts on our demo server. This demo server allows you to see the full software in action and you can access it from any computer with Internet access without installing additional software on your own computer. Existing customers can use our demo server as well to see the newest software releases but also daily builds, prototypes and concepts long before release – maybe a good opportunity to check if the ever wanted feature has been implemented – and to send us a friendly reminder if this feature is still missing.

The ZeeBORN support team has finished today the last test of a series of Microsoft Windows 7 compatibility tests. While earlier versions of the ZeeBORN solutions have been already successfully developed and tested on beta versions and release candidates of Windows 7, final tests have now been performed on the RTM version (RTM = Release to Manufacturing).

As soon as Windows 7 will be available to our customers (public release announced for 22nd of October 2009), our customers will be able to use all ZeeBORN solutions on all editions of Windows 7 including the Windows 7 Starter edition to be used on netbook class computers.

With this successful test, ZeeBORN solutions are now available for the following Windows platforms: Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 Server, Windows 7.

After several months of intensive testing and improvements based on customer input, ZeeBORN enables access to the projects area on our web site to all customers. All ZeeBORN customers are invited for using this new feature. It allows you to post change requests, vote for change requests already posted by other users and gives a general deeper view inside the ongoing developments and improvements.

The ZeeBORN Forum is no longer available and has been replaced by the new Projects service.
